LARRY S. LOUGH Larry S. Lough, age 64 of Leland, NC died Friday February 27, 2015 in Lower Cape Fear Hospice Wilmington, NC of a Brain Tumor. Larry was born in June 21, 1950 Washington, DC to Violet and Delmar Lough. He was raised in Temple Hills, MD. He attended Temple Hills Elementary, Taney Jr. High and graduated from Crossland Sr. High in 1968. He attended Prince Georges Community College in Largo, MD. He met his wife Faith Ambrose in High School and began dating the fall of 1968. Larry received his draft notice from the Army in the summer of 1970 and then enlisted for a three year tour. After he finished his basic training at Ft. Dix New Jersey, he married Faith on a weekend pass August 22, 1970. He served an unaccompanied "hardship" tour in Thailand for a year. He finished out his tour at Arlington Hall Station and continued on as a civilian. He retired after 36 years with Army Intelligence. He came back as a DoD contractor for four years, before moving to Leland, NC. Larry is survived by his wife, Faith, son Keith and his wife Beckie, daughter Kimberly and her husband Matthew Davis, half-sisters Lucy Haines and her husband Brad and Rose Hatton. Larry was a car fanatic. His first car was a '68 fastback Mustang then a '69 Z28 Camero, onto a '72 Corvette to a tricked out Chevy van. He also owned a '71 MGB, an '82 Toyota Supra and '91 Mitsubishi 3000GT and finally a 2012 Grand Sport Corvette. He joined the Cape Fear Corvette Club and became the Club treasurer for 2015. He also enjoyed bowling on the Compass Pointe bowling league and playing golf with friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent to www.andrewsmortuary.com
